This exotic Brazilian fruit is an absolute winner. The deliciously sweet flesh contrasts perfectly with the bitter, tangy skins. The rich flavours from this wonderful berry also lend themselves perfectly to winemaking. For our Christmas Port this year, we've crafted a rich fruity tawny port from the Jaboticaba fruit. This port was then blended with a little grape tawny for a deeper flavour, and aged in ex-rum barrels for six months. The port was then delicately infused with all those classic Christmas spices like cinnamon, star anise and orange.
