Some exciting news!

Aug 14 2018

To our awesome Ohana followers we have an exciting announcement to make (maybe sad for some) our Winery is moving...but not too far! After a whirlwind few years of developing our unique hand-crafted ciders, wines, ports & liqueurs we now feel we are ready for our next crazy chapter… which is to open QLD’s only dedicated Cider House (plus winery)!…and what better place do it than the soon to be drinks capital of the world - Bundaberg. It is an exciting/nerve-wracking time for us, but it is something we have been dreaming of doing for a long while.

So, what does this mean? Well sadly our Childers cellar door will be closed (although we will still accept group bookings by appointment). Instead, you will be able to find all your favourite products at our new cidery/winery – Ohana Cider House and Tropical Winery at 5 Alexandra St, East Bundy. The former home of Schmeider’s Cooperage. It is a great location and will provide us with the extra space we need to grow our product range and ideas. The new place will be like a cider bar, with 8 rotating ciders on tap that we are sure you will love! Plus, the venue will also incorporate our winery cellar door, providing you with all your old favourite tropical wines and liqueurs, plus some new ones! Our full cider bottling line and production set-up will be on-site so visitors can see how it’s done. There will also be cheese platters, tasting paddles, other local products, plus of course hand-made wooden products from the Cooperage.

Although, we are sad to close Childers, we feel this is the right decision for our continued growth (plus we will still live and farm there, so we aren’t really leaving). For any of our existing customers that may not make it regularly to our new Bundaberg location to stock up, don’t worry we have plenty of ideas on how to get the bottles to you (just ask us how!).

So, when is it all happening? Sometime in early-mid August (stay tuned for further annoucements). Thanks again for your support so far and we look forward to sharing our exciting new chapter with you all!
